PLSS Map

The Public Land Survey System (PLSS) is a way parceling land in the United States. The PLSS typically divides land into 6-mile-square townships. Townships are subdivided into 36 one-mile- square sections. The department of the Interior regulates this surveying system. This image is from the Kitsap county government website and shows the PLSS parcelling on their county.
